Paint

Starting to plan and buy stuff for the huge exterior painting project. I painted the inside of the plane with PPG Concept 3, a two-part polyurethane and I had decent results. I'm going to tackle the exterior with high hopes! I'm upgrading my spray gun and the filter/dryer for the air. I also made a large paint booth inside the shop with fans and good lighting. I made one whole side wall lift up so we can get parts in and out easily. I have decided to use the Stewart Systems paint. I ordered a small amount and liked how it sprayed and looks. Today, January 3, I took the plunge and ordered all of the paint! As far as colors I'm calling it the "Napa" plane because the colors will be a yellow and blue similar to their logo colors. I have finished the cowl and it's primed and ready to paint. I have to say, it's pretty damn exciting to be at this point!
